Sheepskin: Prancer (166)

$330.00
sold out

Cozy up to this naturally tanned sheepskin, pastured-raised as part of our farm’s flock. This lovely sheepskin is 40 inches long with 2.5 inches of wooly pile to warm your soul and soles. There is some slight matting in this sheepskin reflective of an animal who lived an outdoor life and got up to some extra adventures. The price is reflective of a slight discount due to this slight matting.

Wool naturally thermoregulates meaning that when you cozy up with this sheepskin it radiates your natural body warmth right back to you, sensed as the ideal temperature every time. They’re excellent padding reducing “hot spots” on chairs, look amazing as part of any home decor and feel amazing under foot. In the winter a sheepskin under your fitted sheet feels just like getting into a pre-heated bed. A sheepskin on top of a child in a stroller or sled will keep the winter or shoulder-season walk last that much longer with a warm kiddo.

Approved and applauded by pets, kids and adults alike in our home we hope to get to share this warmth with you. To find out more about our favorite uses check out our blog post. You can find out more about the process of tanning sheepskins at our tannery here.

These sheepskins are natural products, gifts from animals who lived good lives outdoors. At times this meant finding their way through plant materials that had some extra stickiness to them (tiny seeds). We work hard to clean each fleece well however, some “vegetable matter” aka “evidence of a life well lived” may still be present.
